The visiting delegation of the Election Exploratory Mission (ExM) from the European Union (EU) today (July 10) held a meeting with the officials of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The 40-minute meeting with several senior officials including Additional Secretary of the Ministry Asad Alam Siam started at 10 am at the ministry in the capital.

Besides, the visiting delegation will hold a meeting today with National Human Rights Council.  On Tuesday, they will sit with the election commission. 

The EU delegation will hold a meeting with the opposition parties including BNP, Jatiya Party and AB party on July 15, BNP party office confirmed.

On July 9, visiting members from the EU held a meeting with the diplomats in Dhaka.

Members from the European Union (EU) began their activities in Bangladesh to assess the situation on the ground ahead of the country's upcoming national election.

The members of the delegation will stay in Dhaka till July 23.
