Total 44,067 pilgrims have returned home after the Hajj rituals in Saudi Arabia.
Airlines carrying pilgrims, Civil Aviation Authority, and the Hajj office confirmed the matter through their website on Monday (July 12).
According to the website, there were a total of 115 return flights until Tuesday. Among total flights Biman Bangladesh Airlines operated 45 flights, Saudi Airlines 46, and 24 flights operated by Flinus Airlines.
Meanwhile, a separate customs zone has been set up at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in Dhaka for the convenience of the pilgrims. Also, this is the first time that 5 liters of Zamzam water is being provided to every pilgrim at the airport, according to the website.
This year, a total of 1,22,884 Bangladeshi pilgrims went to Saudi Arabia. Of them, six from Chattogram and Cox's Bazar died from various complications.
