Swadhin Bangla Betar Kendra artiste Bulbul Mahalanobish passed away on Friday (July 14).

Eminent musician Leenu Billah confirmed the matter.

The noted singer was suffering from various complications for a long time, Leenu Billah said.

During Bangladesh’s Liberation War in 1971, Bulbul Mahalanobish was a prominent singer of Shwadhin Bangla Betar Kendra, where she also played the leading female character in “Jallader Darbar”, an extremely popular episodic radio play written by Kalyan Mitra.
