BNP's Publicity Affairs Secretary and former lawmaker Shahid Uddin Chowdhury Annie on Sunday (July 16) said Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) has no objection to holding the march programme of the party. 

He was briefing the media after the end of the meeting with DMP commissioner at 11:30 am in the capital.

Earlier, a BNP delegation headed by Annie went to the DMP headquarters at 11 am to meet with DMP Commissioner Khandker Golam Faruq about the march. They left the DMP Commissioner's office around 11:30.

On July 12, BNP announced to hold countrywide march programme on July 18 and 19 to demand the resignation of the Awami League government.
