DHAKA: Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, also ruling Awami League president, made a call on President Abdul Hamid at Bangabhaban on Sunday evening.

During the meeting that lasted from 6:25 pm to 7:33pm, Prime Minister apprised the President of the overall situation of the country.

After the parley, Press Secretary to the President Ihsanul Karim briefed journalists.

Sheikh Hasina also enquired about the health condition of the President as he returned home on Friday after undergoing medical checkup and eye treatment in Singapore.

The President and Prime Minister discussed the President’s South Africa visit to pay respect to the memories of legendary leader Nelson Mandela.

The Prime Minister was accompanied by LGRD and Cooperative Minister Syed Ashraful Islam.
