Mohammad Amanullah, father of Rongdhanu Group Chairman Rafiqul Islam, passed away at Evercare Hospital in the capital on Thursday. He was 80.

Bashundhara Group Chairman Ahmed Akbar Sobhan expressed deep shock at the death of Mohammad Amanullah.

In a message of condolence, Ahmed Akbar Sobhan said, “We are deeply saddened at the death of Mohammad Amanullah and extend our deepest sympathy to the bereaved family members.

“I pray to Almighty Allah so that the family of the deceased can overcome this irreparable loss.

“His life, ideology and acts will be a source of inspiration for our new generation. I seek eternal peace of the departed soul. May Allah grant him Jannatul Firdaus.”

Mohammad Amanullah left three sons -- Rafiqul Islam, Shafiqul Islam and Mizanur Rahman as well as four daughters.

Rongdhanu Group Chairman Rafiqul Islam urged the country’s people to pray for the eternal peace of the departed soul.
