The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) today (August 1) pleaded for the highest punishment for four including former Farmers Bank Audit Committee Chairman Babul Chishti in a graft case.
After holding hearing in this regard today, Judge Syed Arafat Hossain of Dhaka Special Judge Court-4 fixed August 28 for the next hearing.
Earlier on April 10 in 2018, ACC filed the case under the Money Laundering Prevention Act, 2012, with Gulshan Police Station accusing an embezzlement of Tk 160 crore.
The other accused of the case are-- Babul's wife Ruzi Chishti, son Rashedul Haque Chishti and former vice-president of the bank Masudur Rahman Khan.
Babul and his son Rashedul are currently behind the bars while the other two accused are out in bail.
