A total of 2520 were recommended for different cadres as the final results of the 41st Bangladesh Civil Service (BCS) exam was published.
The results have been published on the Bangladesh Public Service Commission (BPSC) website on Thursday (August 3) afternoon.
According to the information, 323 in the administration cadre, 173 in family planning, 60 in tax cadre, 23 in Ansar, 25 in audit and accounts, 4 in cooperatives, 23 in customs and excise, 6 in food, 25 in foreign affairs are recommended for their appointment.
Abdullah Al Mamun, Controller of Examinations of the Commission, said that against 2,536 vacant posts, 2,520 people are recommended to be appointed to cadre positions.
However, the number of candidates who passed the written and oral examination but were not recommended for the cadre route is 9,821, he said.
The viva-voce of the 41st BCS ended on June 26. Public Service Commission (PSC) published the circular of 41st BCS on November 27, 2019.
More than 4 lakh candidates applied. The preliminary results of 41st BCS were published at the beginning of August 2021.
A total of 21,056 candidates passed the preliminary exam and then took part in the written exams.
The written exam results were published on November 10, 2022. Some 13,000 examinees passed the exam.
