SUNAMGANJ: A husband along with his wife committed suicide by hanging with a rope at Salaf village under Purbabir Gaon union of Dakkhin Sunamganj of the district on Monday morning.

The deceased were identified as Ali Ahmed, 27, and his wife Jesmin Begum, 19.

Purbabir Gaon Union Parisad Member Mahbub Khan told banglanews: “Ali Ahmed’s mother found her son along with his second wife Jesmin hanging from the ceiling of their room in the morning.”

Hearing screaming of Ali Ahmed’s mother, locals rushed to the spot and informed the police.

Officer-in-Charge of Dakkhin Sunamganj Thana AL-Amin confirmed the matter to banglanews.
