Bangladesh Meteorology Department (BMD) predicted light to moderate rain or thundershowers in different parts of the country in the next 24 hours commencing 9am today (August 7).
According to the Met office bulletin, light to moderate rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty wind is likely to occur at most places over Rangpur, Rajshahi, Mymensingh, Dhaka, Khulna, Barishal, Chattogram and Sylhet divisions with heavy to very heavy falls at some places over the country.
The bulletin also predicted that Day and night temperature may fall slightly over the country.
Country's maximum temperature on Friday was recorded 33.4 degrees Celsius at Sayedpur, while today's minimum temperature 24.0 degrees Celsius jointly at Sitakunda, Rangamati and Kutubdia.
The highest rainfall was recorded 322 mm at Chattogram in the last 24 hours till 6am today.
The sun sets at 6:38pm today and rises at 5:30am tomorrow in the capital.
