10 Gonosasthya Univ doctors held

DHAKA: Ashulia Thana Police detained 10 people, including physicians and students of Gonosasthya Medical University, on Tuesday from a demonstration in front of Gonoshasthaya Nagar Hospital of Savar.

Police nabbed them while preparing for forming a human chain in protest against the death of Dr Murad at around 10:00am.

Dr Tanvir of Gonoshasthaya Nagar Hospital, Dhanmondi, confirmed the matter to banglanews.

He also said that police charged baton on the doctors.

On Saturday (December 7), Dr Murad went missing from a charitable programme for providing free treatment in Galachipa Upazila of Patuakhali district.

Later on Sunday afternoon, police recovered his body.
