A Mymensingh court today (August 10) sentenced five people, including two brothers to life-term imprisonment for killing a man during robbery in Gafargaon Upazila of the district in 2012.

District First Additional and Sessions Judge Sudipta Sarker handed down the verdict to Abdur Roshid, his brother Abdur Rashid, Abul Bashar, Md Zinna and Md Russel. The court also fined each of them Tk 10000.

According to the prosecution, the convicts killed one Mahbubul Alam during dacoity (robbery) at his house at Bashia village in the upazila on April 19 in 2012. Following the murder, Mahbubul Alam's wife filed a case with Gafargaon Thana.

Testifying witnesses and evidences the court gave the order in presence of the convicts.
