Two members of the United States Congress - Democratic Congressman Ed Case and Republican Congressman Richard McCormick - arrived in Dhaka on a four-day visit.
Foreign ministry sources confirmed the matter.
The Congress delegation during their stay will visit Rohingya refugee camps.
There will be meetings with refugee relief and repatriation and UN agencies in Rohingya camps. It will monitor the overall situation including the financial condition of the Rohingyas, according to the source.
After returning to Dhaka, they would meet with Foreign Minister AK Abdul Momen. Members of the team will also meet with various political parties in Bangladesh, said sources.
Recently several US delegations visited Dhaka. US State Department Global Anti-Corruption Coordinator Richard Nephew arrived in Bangladesh on a three-day visit on August 6-8.
