DHAKA: Communications Minister Obaidul Quader on Tuesday said the tender for much-talked-about Padma Bridge would be invited on December 19.  

The minister came up with the disclosure while talking to journalists after addressing a signing ceremony of multipurpose Padma Bridge’s Jajira Point Service-2 at Shetu Bhaban in the morning.

Expressing hope, he said, “The construction work will be initiated within May-June next year and the river training and protection works is likely to be initiated in February.”
