Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University (BSMMU) hospital doctor Prof SM Mostofa Zaman, who was a member of Delwar Hossain Sayeedi's medical board, has received a death threat.
Following the death threat, the doctor filed a general diary (GD) at Dhanmondi Police Station on Tuesday night.
The police station duty officer SI Moazzem Hossain confirmed the matter.
In the GD, doctor Zamán mentioned that On Sunday night (August 13), Delwar Hussain Sayeedi was admitted to BSMMU in an ailing condition. Under the supervision of the chairman of the Cardiology Department of BSMMU, Professor Choudhury Meshkat Ahmed, Sayeedi was undergoing treatment.
On Monday (August 14), Sayeedi died while undergoing treatment, he said, adding: “As a member of the specialized medical team, I discharged my duty. However, some individuals are threatening to me from social media platforms and YouTube.”
In the GID, he further mentioned: “I am currently concerned and afraid of the behavior of certain individuals. Users of a few Facebook and YouTube pages, along with their supporters, can cause significant harm to me and my family members, at any time.”
For this reason, seeking security, he files a GD at the police station.
