Pop of Color works to empower women

In the social context of Bangladesh, where women often struggle to establish their own identities, Tinker Jannat Meem has played a pivotal role in facilitating this process.

In 2014, she initiated the Facebook group known as "Pop of Color" to empower women, foster economic self-reliance, enhance socio-economic development, improve women's quality of life, promote mental and physical well-being, raise social awareness, and support numerous women entrepreneurs.

Tinker Jannat Meem is a community leader, content contributor, and digital marketer. And the Pop of Color Community grew out of her sense of social responsibility. She has assisted countless women, from small-scale entrepreneurs to budding businesswomen, in achieving their goals.

She wants to help women and go in the right direction by using Facebook. So she created a group called Pop of Color. Pop of color Ltd followed the rules of the facebook community standard very carefully.

Pop of Color has grown into a community with over 12,000 entrepreneurs and more than 48,000 members. It has become a platform for women to showcase their ventures.

Members of Pop of Color have also benefited from the group in numerous ways. They have received guidance on various topics, including finding the right products. Importantly, Pop of Color has always maintained a positive and respectful atmosphere, adhering to Facebook Community Guidelines.

However, recently, the Pop of Color Facebook group was disabled. How are the group members and women entrepreneurs?

According to a survey conducted in response to this question, the closure of the group has had a devastating impact on small women entrepreneurs. Their businesses have suffered, and their page reach has decreased. Entrepreneurs who relied on the group for support have faced losses.

Moreover, the closure of the group has left many members feeling lost. Some members had stored important information within the group and have now lost access to it. This close-knit group has always focused on spreading positivity, and every member and entrepreneur is hopeful that the group will be reinstated.

Tinker Jannat Meem is now working diligently with the aim of bringing back the group through either cybersecurity measures or government intervention in Bangladesh. She is determined to ensure that the dreams of thousands of women will not be dashed in any way.

Tinker Jannat Meem is a social advocate, brand promoter, digital marketer, and content contributor. She founded Pop of Color Limited in 2014, an organization dedicated to helping more than 4,000 women combat cybercrime through remedial support.

As the leader of this organization, Tinker Jannat Meem has assisted 5,050 victimized women in various ways, providing them with legal support.Pop of Color is like a big club with more than 12,000 business owners and over 48,000 members. They all work together to make life better for everyone in the group. These business owners usually make a good amount of money every month, more than 2/3 lakh taka each.

For almost nine years, their goal has been to help women who want to run their own businesses. They want to make women stronger and able to take care of themselves financially. They've done this by teaching women how to start and run businesses, especially if they want to work from home.

Tinker Jannat Meem created a platform within the Pop of Color community for female entrepreneurs to showcase their products.

Additionally, she has taken the follow up of the business of those entrepreneurs, and their progress through the group and offered guidance when needed, ensuring they stayed on the right path.

Through well-team planning activities within the Pop of Color group, they were able to enhance the branding of women entrepreneurs. This collaborative effort helped smaller entrepreneurs gain recognition through corporate communication. Pop of Color has helped women by entrepreneurship training and help them of their businesses growth

However, the Group was disabled on 8/7/2023; these small women entrepreneurs have faced significant challenges and business losses. The strong rapport built between former group members and entrepreneurs has been disrupted.

Tinker Jannat Meem tries to regain access to the group, including contacting cyber experts and Facebook.

They've tried different ways to bring the group back, and they made a new group hoping that the old members would join again.

But it's been really hard for business owners to start over without the old group. This has been tough for both the members and business owners.

In my opinion, if Bangladesh's cybersecurity or government authorities can somehow inform Facebook and restore the group, it would greatly alleviate the mental pressure currently affecting thousands of entrepreneurs. This support would enable these women to continue their efforts to achieve economic independence.
