Supreme Court’s Appellate Division senior-most judge Obaidul Hassan has been made the Chief Justice of the country as Chief Justice Hasan Foez Siddique went to Saudi Arabia to perform Umrah.
President Mohammed Shahabuddin appointed him as the 24th Chief Justice of the country.
The Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs Ministry issued a gazette notification in this regard.
Chief Justice Hasan Foez Siddique went to Saudi Arabia on Monday (September 11) afternoon to perform Umrah.
