Suspended Additional deputy commissioner (ADC) Harun Ar Rashid, who allegedly beaten two central leaders of Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL) at Shahbagh Police Station has now been attached to Rangpur Range of Bangladesh Police.

A notification in this regard was issued by the Public Security Division of the Ministry of Home Affairs on Tuesday (September 12).

Earlier, the division suspended ADC Harun with a notification on Monday.

On Saturday night, ADC Harun allegedly beat up two central BCL leaders inside Shahbagh Police Station. The leaders are central organising secretary and Dhaka University's Fazlul Huque Hall Unit BCL president Anwar Hossain Nayeem and central science affairs secretary and Shahidullah Hall Unit BCL general secretary Sharif Ahmed Munim.
