Members of the Bangladesh Army, Bangladesh Air Force, and Bangladesh Navy have joined the operation to control the massive fire at Krishi Market of Mohammadpur in the capital. 

Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) informed the matter through a press release.

Meanwhile, a number of 17 firefighting units are making frantic efforts to douse the flame.

The fire was reported at 3:34am and fighters rushed to the spot instantly, said Rashed bin Khaled, duty officer of Fire Service and Civil Defence.

Members of the Rapid Action Battalion and the Border Guard Bangladesh have also been deployed at the site to support rescue work and help bring the fire under control. 

No casualties have been reported so far.

The market was marked as vulnerable for fire incident by the FSCD.
