Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) today predicted light to moderate rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty wind is likely to occur at most places over the north, central, south and north-western region and at many places over the southern region.

Light to moderate rain or thunder showers accompanied by temporary gusty wind is likely to occur at most places over Rangpur, Rajshahi, Dhaka, Mymensingh, Barishal, Chattogram and Sylhet divisions and at many places over Khulna division with moderately heavy to heavy falls at places over the country, said the weather forecast for the next 24 hours begins from 9am today.

Day temperature may fall slightly and night temperature may remain nearly unchanged over the country.

A low pressure area has formed over Northwest Bay & adjoining area. The axis of monsoon trough runs through Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Odisha, center of the low to Assam across Gangetic West Bengal and southern part of Bangladesh. Monsoon is fairly active over Bangladesh and moderate elsewhere over North Bay.
