DHAKA: Miscreants shot dead two people, including a house owner, and wounded another in Moynar Bagh area of Adarsha Nagar of Badda in the capital on Tuesday morning.

The deceased were identified as Faruk Hossain, the house owner and construction worker Milon, 30.

Witnesses said construction workers Milon and Mahmud and the house owner Faruk Hossain sustained bullet injury as a few miscreants fired indiscriminately at around 9:00am in Moynar Bagh area of Badda.

Locals rushed the injured to Dhaka Medical College Hospital in a critical condition where the on-duty doctor declared Faruk and Milon dead.

Confirming the matter, Officer-in-Charge of Badda Thana Iqbal Hossain told banglanews that extortion might be a reason of the incident.
