ACC sues Moudud, his brother

DHAKA: Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) filed a case against BNP standing committee member Barrister Moudud Ahmed and his brother Manjur Ahmed on charge of occupying government land abusing power.

Deputy Commissioner of the anti-graft body Harunur Rashid filed the case with Gulshan Thana on Tuesday afternoon.

Sources said Moudud Ahmed occupied illegally an abandoned house of Gulshan Avenue in the name of his expatriate brother Manjur Ahmed.

The original owner of the house was an Australian woman. She left the house during 1971 Liberation War.

ACC commissioner Sahabuddin Chuppu confirmed the matter to banglanews.
