DHAKA: A motorcyclist was killed and a youth injured in a road crash in Bashabo area in the city on Tuesday afternoon.

The deceased was identified as Rifadul Haque Tapu, 25, a final year student of Titumir College, hailed from Homna upazila of Comilla district.

Sabujbagh Thana Sub-Inspector Kartik Chandra Biswas said two youths were injured critically in the accident in the area at 5:00pm.

The injured were rushed to Dhaka Medical College Hospital where Tapu succumbed to his injuries at 6:20pm.

The reason of the accident could not be known immediately.
