KHAGRACHHARI: A fire broke out at Manikchhari police station of the district on Wednesday morning.

The fire originated from an electric short circuit at around 6:45am, said sources concerned.

Manikchhari police station Office-in-Charge Keshab Chakrabarti told banglanews, “The fire originated at barrack and soon engulfed the armory of police station and adjacent area.”

When fire spread out at the armory, locals heard sound of firing bullets.

On information, fire service men rushed to the spot and doused the fire.
