Additional Inspector General of Police Habibur Rahman has taken charge as the new commissioner of the Dhaka Metropolitan Police through a handover ceremony at the DMP headquarters on Saturday (September 30).

The new DMP chief took charge from the outgoing Commissioner Khandaker Golam Farooq at the DMP headquarters today.

According to DMP media wing, the outgoing DMP commissioner Khandker Golam Faruq got a farewell from police personnel as he leaves his office.

Habibur Rahman is currently the chief of the Tourist Police.
