LAXMIPUR: At least three petrol bombs were hurled at the village house of Lion MA Awaal, the Secretary General of Bangladesh Tarikat Federation at Narayanpur village under Ramganj upazila on Tuesday night.

Lion MA Awayal, also 14-party aspirants of Laxmipur-1 constituency in next general election, confirmed the matter to banglanews over phone.

After hurling petrol bomb that igniting fire at the house and some furniture burnt.

Later, locals rushed to spot and doused the fire.

Locals and family sources claimed that BNP or Jamaat-Shibir men might be launched the attack at around 2:00am.

Ramganj Thana Officer-in-Charge Jabedul Islam told that on information, police rushed to the spot and security measures have been tightened.
