Export and import trade with India through the Akhaura Land Port in Brahmanbaria will remain suspended for six days for Durga and Lakhsmi Puja.

Akhaura Land Port Import-Export Association and C&F Agent Association disclosed the matter through a press release today (October 19).

In the press release, General Secretary Shafiqul Islam said, “In order to share the joy of the puja, it has been decided to stop import and export activities through Akhaura port on October 21-24 for Durga Puja and on October 27 and 28 for Lakshmi Puja.”

However, activities will continue between October 25-26, he said, adding full-fledged operations will resume on October 29.
