Election Commission (EC) on Monday (October 23) said the schedule for the 12th parliamentary election (Jatiya Sangsad) will be announced in the second week of November this year.

An Election Commissioner disclosed the matter at the Election Commission secretariat in the capital’s Agargaon.

The schedule for the election will be published in the second week of November and the election will be held either at the end of December or early January of 2024, According to EC official.

EC official also said that the polling environment is good. As per our plan, polling may be held from the last week of December to the first week of January.
