A fire broke out on the 12th floor of a 14-storied building named Khawaja Tower at Amatali of Mohakhali in the capital on Thursday (October 26). 

Media officer Shajahan Sikder confirming the matter said 12 units are working to bring the fire on the 12th floor of Khawaja Tower under control.

He said fire broke out on the 13th floor of a multi-storied building in Amtali area of Mohakhali. First three units and later four more units were dispatched from the fire service.

Later, around 6 pm, the fire service informed that 12 units are working to control the fire.

The official could not immediately say anything about the cause of the fire and the damage.
