A speeding car hit a roadside railing near the toll plaza of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Tunnel today (October 30).

The incident happened in the port city's Anwara Point area around 3am.

The driver of the Prado car number Dhaka Metro-G 216200 lost control over its steering and went on the island in the road. It broke the road island.

Later, in the morning, security personnel of Bangabandhu Tunnel repaired the railings.

Tunnel toll manager Belayet Hossain confirmed the matter to Banglanews.

When asked whether the owner of the vehicle has been identified, the authority concerned refused to comment.
