The Indian Border Security Force (BSF) was allegedly killed a Bangladeshi national along a border under Godagari upazila in Rajshahi district.
The incident took place near pillar no 5 in Manikchak bordering area at around 9:30 am on Thursday (November 9).
The deceased was identified as Samirul Haque, 15, son of Hasibul Islam alias Hasibur, a resident of Barinagar village in the upazila.
According to local UP chairman Ashraful Haque a patrolling team of the BSF opened fire targeting Samiul when he was cutting grass in Bangladeshi territory about 150 yards away from the zero point, leaving him dead on the spot.
"We have recovered the body of the teenager," said Abdul Matin, officer-in-charge of Godagari police station in Rajshahi.
Necessary steps would be taken after handing over the body to the deceased's family, he added.
