A fire that broke out at a warehouse of a jute mill under Rupsa upazila in Khulna district on Friday (November 10) evening has been doused.

Khulna Fire Service and Civil Defense Department Assistant Director Md. Farooq Hossain Sikder confirmed the matter.

He said eight firefighting units rushed to the spot and worked effortlessly to bring the blaze under control.

The actual reason behind the fire could not be known immediately, he said, adding that they were engaged in dousing the blaze.

“After proper investigation we can provide the detailed information,” the official added.

Earlier, a fire broke out in the godown of a Jute Mill at Rajapur Popula in Khulna's Rupsa area around 5 pm.
