A total of 460 patrol teams of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) were deployed in Dhaka and elsewhere in the country to maintain law and order.

Director of RAB's Legal and Media Wing, Commander Khandaker Al Moin confirmed the matter on Sunday (November 19). 

Besides, a total of 235 platoons of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) forces were deployed across the country, including 28 in Dhaka and adjacent districts, to maintain law and order situation.

A 48-hour hartal — called by BNP, Jamaat and like-minded opposition parties — protesting the general election schedule announced by the Election Commission (EC) is underway.
