Two ministers and one state minister of the Awami League-led government have resigned today (November 19).

They were the first ministers who stepped down, after the announcement of the schedule of the 12th parliamentary election on Wednesday (Nov 15). 

They submitted their resignation to the cabinet secretary Md Mahbub Hossain. 

Those who have submitted their resignation are Science and Technology Minister Architect Yafes Osman, Post and Telecommunication Minister Mustafa Jabbar, and State Minister for Planning Dr Shamsul Alam.
