Police rescued 58 Rohingyas from the Marine Drive in Teknaf upazila of Cox's Bazar on Friday (November 24) night when they were being trafficked to Malaysia.

Besides, police also detained four members of a human trafficking ring. 

The detainees were identified as Md Yasin, 23, Md Jubayer, 35, Nazir Hossen, 61, and Ramimul Islam, 31.

Teknaf police station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Mohammad Osman Gani confirmed the matter on Saturday (November 25). 

The legal procedures of filing a case and sending the accused and victims to court are underway, OC said.
