COMILLA: Miscreants torched the office of Laksam Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) of the district early Thursday.

Witnesses said that a gang of miscreants set fire to the office of UNO Shafiul Alam at around 2:30am. Later, fire fighters doused the fire immediately with the help of locals.

A fax machine, table and few chairs were damaged in the fire.

Laksam police station Officer-in-Charge Abul Khayer confirmed the matter to banglanews.
