Quraner Noor, the national Hifzul Quran competition 2023, sponsored by Bashundhara Group, the largest business conglomerate in the country, is set to begin in Cumilla tomorrow.
The competition will take place at Jamia Madania Raujatul Uloom madrasa, and organisers have requested all participants to register their names on the madrasa premise by 7:30 am, said coordinator, Hafez Maulana Margubur Rahman Bin Obayed.
A panel of 10 judges will conduct auditions for all participants, selecting 50 qualifiers from the division. Among them, the top 10 participants will proceed to the final competition scheduled to be held in Dhaka by January, he added.
Earlier, the auditions were held at Sylhet, Mymensingh regions.
The mega islamic reality show audition will also take place in Rajshahi and Rangpur on February 14, Khulna and Faridpur on February 18, Barishal on February 20, Dhaka (North) on February 22 and Dhaka (South) on February 23.
The first prize winner will receive a cash of Tk 10 lakh, the second winner will receive a cash ‘of Tk 7 lakh, the third prize winner Tk 5 lakh and the fourth and fifth prizes will receive Tk 2 lakh each.
The recorded programme will be aired on the satellite television channel, News24, and its YouTube channel during Ramadan.
