Members of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) today (November 27) morning recovered a bullet-hit body of a Bangladeshi man at Chapatala border under Maheshpur upazila of Jhenaidah.

The deceased was identified as Rakibul Islam, 35, son of Monirul Islam of Jadabpur village of the upazila. 

BGB 58-Battalion Commanding Officer Lt Col Masud Parvez confirmed the matter.

There were bullet wounds on Rakibul's body and police are investigating the matter, he said.

Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Maheshpur Police Station Shamim Uddin said that the body has been sent to Jhenaidah Sadar Hospital Morgue for autopsy. A case in this regard will be filed in the police station.
