A meeting between US Ambassador to Bangladesh Peter Haas and Foreign Secretary Masud Bin Momen was held at State Guesthouse Padma in the capital.

The meeting started around 11 am on Thursday (November 30) and the agenda of the meeting could not be known immediately.

The meeting was held a day after the Bangladesh Embassy in Washington wrote a letter to the Ministry of Commerce, alerting it about the concerns arising from the United States' recent labour rights policy.

Earlier on November 16, Peter Haas left Dhaka by a flight of Sri Lanka Airlines and returned back on Monday.
