‘Quraner Noor’ audition powered by Bashundhara Group held in Mymensingh

The audition for the second season of ‘Quraner Noor’, a Quran recitation competition, was held in Mymensingh on Friday. A total of 301 hafizes hafizes across the division took part in the audition.

Baitul Mukarram National Mosque Musalli Committee is organising the mega reality show –‘Quraner Noor International Hifzul Quran Competition-2024’–powered by Bashundhara Group, the country’s leading business conglomerate.

The registration phase of the competition started early in the morning at the Jamia Arabia Miftahul Uloom Madrasah in Mymensingh.

Hundreds of contestants gathered on the Madrasa premises before the registration timeline. Participants from Mymensingh, Kishoreganj, Netrakona, Jamalpur and Sherpur took part in the audition round.

Organisers said that the competition aims to encourage the country’s hafizes and they are working towards the goal of showcasing the talented hafizes on the international stage.

At the beginning of this event, the contestants from different places wore cards, badges and completed the registration process one-by-one. After having breakfast, the contestants are divided into five categories for the audition round.

The national-level jury board, consisting of hafizes Mohammad Jahirul Islam, Abdul Alim Salman, Khaled Saifullah, and Hamidullah, conducted the audition.

Besides, local judges hafez Abu Saleh Mohammad Musa, Saidur Rahman, Moslem Uddin and Rashedul Islam were also present.

Baitul Mukarram National Mosque senior Imam Mizanur Rahaman and Musalli Committee joint secretary general Shah Alam coordinated the audition round.

The national-level champion of the competition will win Tk10 lakh while the international champion will get Tk15 lakh.

The recorded programme will be aired on News24 Television and its YouTube channel from the first day of Holy Ramadan.
