MIRSARAI, CHITTAGONG: A man was killed in a road accident in Baroiyerhat under Mirsharai municipal of the district on Thursday night.

The deceased was identified as Ibrahim Khalil, 48, Baroiyerhat counter manager of S. Alam bus service also resident of Jamalpur area of the municipal.

Witnesses said that a Dhaka-bound truck rammed Ibrahim at around 10 pm while he was crossing road, leaving him dead on the spot.

Jorarganj Thana Second officer Alamgir Hossain told banglanews that on information, police recovered the body and seized the truck. But the driver and helper managed to flee the scene.
