Chattogram-16: AL leader Mostafizur Rahman’s candidacy cancelled

The Election Commission (EC) today (January 7) cancelled the candidacy of ruling Awami League (AL) candidate and current lawmaker from Chattogram-16 (Banshkhali) Mostafizur Rahman Chowdhury.

EC Secretary Jahangir Alam confirming the matter said the action was taken against him for violating the election code of conduct.

Earlier, EC has also filed a case against Mostafizur Rahman.
