RUPGANJ (NARAYANGANJ): At least 30 people were injured in a clash over establishing superiority between Jubo League and Chhatra League-Swecchesebok League leaders and activists at Rposhi area under Rupganj upazila of the district on Friday afternoon.

The injured were admitted to Upazila Health Complex.

Witnesses said there was a long standing clash between the supporters of upazila Jubo League general secretary Mostafizur Rahman Shahin and Chhatra League leader Shahriar Panna Shohel, Swecchesebok League leader Al-Amin.

On Friday afternoon, supporters of Shahriar Panna Shohel and Al-Amin attacked the supporters of Mostafizur Rahman Shahin when they brought out a procession in support of Awami League candidate Golam Dastagir from Rupganj constituency, leaving 30 people injured.

Confirming the matter, Officer-in-Charge of Rupganj Thana Asaduzzaman told banglanews that the situation is under control now.
