KHULNA: Two people were shot to death in Dumuria Upazila of the district on Friday night.

The deceased were identified as Shahidul Islam, a member of Dhamali Union Parisad of the upazila and Sohan, a listed criminal.

Wishing anonymity a police source said that Union Parisad member Shahidul Islam was shot dead by miscreants at around 1:00am.

On the other hand, criminal Sohan was killed in a gunfight with police at around 3:45am, said the police source.
