State Minister for Finance Abul Hasan Mahmud Ali on Thursday (February 8) said Bangladesh needs to pass examination to get the third installment of the International Monitory Fund (IMF) loan.
He came up with the remark while talking to reporters after the meeting with IMF representative in Bangladesh and Canadian High Commissioner Lilly Nicholls at his office in the capital.
The minister replying to a query said, “We are performing well towards fulfilling IMF target. I think we will be able to meet the second step.”
Regarding the time when the country will get the third installment of the IMF loan, Mahmud Ali said, “To get the third part, we have to pass ongoing tests.”
