The Trading Corporation of Bangladesh (TCB) decided to sell its products at subsidised rates twice during the month of Ramadan, which is expected to begin on March 11.
Ahasanul Islam Titu, state minister for commerce, was addressing a discussion at his office in the capital on Wednesday (February 14).
He said the decision has been taken to reduce people’s pressure during Ramadan.
“There are many challenges in front of us and one of which is market management. All ministries are working together to control the market,” he said.
From now on, all information regarding the production costs and prices of agricultural products will be accessible through the website, he said.
