A boat with five people on board, including a woman with bullet wounds, arrived on Saturday (February 17) at the jetty of the Shapuree Dwip in Teknaf from Myanmar.
They reached the jetty around 5pm today.
Md Masud Mirza, a local resident of Shapuree Dwip said that a total five people were in the boat.
Besides, the boatmen were also present there.
“We have heard that they have come here for treatment,” he added.
After receiving the information, the Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) went there to check, Rubel, a local resident said.
However, no statement was given by BGB till now in this regard.
Currently, BGB and Coast Guard members are strictly patrolling the Naf River area to prevent any more infiltration from the other side of the border.
