NOAKHALI: Two youths were killed in a road accident in Nababganj Bazar area under Sonaimuri upazila of the district early Tuesday.

The deceased were identified as Alamgir, 24, son of Khairul Islam, hailed from Harinakundu Thana of Jhenaidah district and Jasim Uddin, 23, son of Ziaul Haque, hailed from Barisal sadar upazila.

Sonaimuri Thana police sources said while crossing the road at Nababganj Bazar, a rashly driven truck ran over the two youths of Tablig Jamaat, leaving them dead on the spot.

On information, police recovered the bodies and sent them to Noakhali General Hospital morgue for autopsy.

Officer-in-Charge of Sonaimuri Thana Abdus Samad confirmed the matter to banglanews.
