DHAKA: Law enforcers held a man along with 22 gold bars weighting two-kilogram from city’s Roy Shaheb Bazar area on Monday night.

The detainee was identified as Komol Das, worker of a jewelry shop.

Police sources said a team of police was patrolling in the area around 10pm. At that time Komol was going on foot in front them. Seeing his movement, police suspected and chased him.

Police seized 22-gold bars worth Tk 1 crore from his possession and detained him.  

Officer-in-Charge of Wari Thana Tapan Chandra Saha said a case was filed against him in this connection,
