A mobile court on Tuesday (March 19) sentenced 15-day jail to a member of an illegal soil-cutting gang in South Keraniganj.

Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Abu Riyad conducted the mobile court.

Sources said that acting on a tip-off, a mobile court raided the spot and caught an offender red-handed.

Then UNO Abu Riyad sent him to jail for a 15-day, sources said.

Besides, three trucks used for carrying soil and an excavator were seized.

Keraniganj Revenue Circle (South) Assistant Commissioner (Land) Monija Khatun was present during the raid.
